Rear Spring Installation

Here we used a strut vice to support the strut securely. We then used a quality spring compressor to compress the spring in order to remove the upper strut mount. After removing the strut mounts and spring it is a good idea to inspect the strut. If the struts need to be replaced, this is the time to do it.
With the spring removed we next installed the threaded ring and adjustable spring perch per the instructions. We then installed the spring and remaining original components.
Next it was time to reinstall the completed strut assembly. We did this in the reverse order of removal. We made sure that all bolts were torqued to the manufacturer’s specifications.
